Event 1: Learning the family friendly attitude
Event Date: September 10, 2006
Event Name: SAM
Event Description: We are leading an intentional family oriented Sunday School for 6 weeks.
Kick off with a breakfast on 09/10. Families will build a family tool box which will be filled with
devotional materials, such as Little Visits with God, and other resources for families. Our theme:
Rally 'round the family: from our home to His home
Each week families will be given some tool like writing mission statements, making a scrapbook,
etc. The goal is after 6 weeks, parents are looking forward to coming to "Sunday School" and
we can offer topics for them while kids enjoy coming to Sunday School.
Family Ministry:
Had a Marriage Retreat in Oct. (20 couples) planning the next one for next Oct. We are doing
mostly what was listed today - but are missing the mentors, pre-cana. We are blessed with
Carol and Harry Swebe.
FFPN:
FF SS fall kick off, family devos, family mission statements, celebration breakfast, marriage
retreat, planning tailgate party for loon game, a couples road rally.
