Event 1: Learning the family friendly attitude
Event Date: January 29 and April 30, 2006
Event Name: Paradigm Shift and Family Life Surveys
Event Description: January 29 was the date for the “Paradigm Shift presentation and luncheon.
A flyer of invitation was placed in the targeted audience’s mailboxes 2 weeks before the
presentation. We followed this with letters of invitation that were mailed to all of the Board
Directors, Board members, and leaders in the congregation. The FFPN committee then called
those who were invited to remind them to come on Sunday. The RSVPs received were a little
disappointing – under 20 adults. We decided to plan for 30 – 35 people. After the service on the
29th Pastor announced the luncheon and presentation to the congregation. To our amazement,
we had 55 people attend, many of who were the leaders who had not had time to respond. (Of
course, we were then worried about having enough food, but as always, it worked out just fine.)
The presentation went well and those who attended understood the concept of Home Centered –
Church Supported.
March - Created a bulletin board presentation on the FFPN. (The Easter breakfast line went past
the bulletin board!!)
April 30 - Family Life Survey to be given during the worship service.
